Case Of The Missing Adidas Shoes

Tonight. This made me laugh like crazy.

This is a conversation between my Mum and me tonight.

Mum : Ja! Did you take Athena's Adidas shoes?

Me : (shocked) Adidas shoes? NO. Why?

Mum : We can't find her shoes.

Me : Where did you people last put it?

Mum : In Nuril's room on the table. You sure you didn't take any box?

Me : No. The only box I brought home to PJ was the box with Aunty Mimi's present for me!

Mum : Hmm. Nevermind then. I'll go find of it.

Me : Okay.

*hangs up* A few minutes later, again my Mum called.

Mum : Ja! We found it.

Me : (laughs) WHAT?? WHERE?

Mum : Under Nuril's bed!

Me : HA?? How did it end up under the bed??

Mum : This has to be something between the mother, the aunty and she herself!

Me : Huh! I won't be surprise she herself is the little culprit! Knowing her, she will PLAY with it and then FORGETS where she PUT it.

Mum : Yalah! (laughs) Okay. Just called to tell you that.

Me : Okay. Eh, Mummy! What Adidas shoe did you get for her?

Mum : The Adidas shoes that looked like her Little Bobboy.

Me : Little Bob Dog?

Mum : Ya, that one!

Me : Ooo! CUTE!!

Mum : Ya, it is nice. Okay lah.

Me : Okay. Bye.

Mum : Bye.

*hangs up*

My conclusion? Between the niece and her grandmother... that niece of mine can drive anyone up the wall BUT...

No matter how hard you day was earlier on, when you see that NAUGHTY FACE. That could all make the frustrations and anger go away. Today was a good day for me compared to yesterday or even last week.

Athena:- Goddess of War Strategies and Wisdom.

But Puteri Athena Maimunah is just all war strategies and warfare but not much wisdom. Her wisdom is only in her naughtiness.

Anyways, Athena is very close to my Dad. He is everything to her, vice versa. Why not? With Grandpa around, I can do anything! Athena is naughty that way but her table manners? She is VERY good. She can sit down properly without making much fuss (unless she is sleepy or cranky). She doesn't scream or show tantrum in public. Overall, she is a good girl.

BUT WHEN SHE HAS ICE-CREAM AFTER 8.30. Be prepare to sweat. That little thing won't keep still. She gets hyper. That is why whenever we go out, she is ALWAYS in her stroller. If we let her loose, that will mean running around like chicken with the head cut off!

She is fun that way but I am amazed that she maybe only a year and a half, she behaves BETTER than a 4 year old...

Most of all, I am still amazed at her for what she did when I went to meet them at KLIA when they last came. She was holding hands with my sister and my Dad but when she saw me, she let go of their hands and ran towards me with her arms wide open.

The first thing I said was, "Sayang Athena, sayang Athena" and what did she do? She kissed me on the cheeks!

Athena, to me, is amazing in many ways. Some people might think I am being biased or just exaggerating because she is my niece, I am not. She is just Athena. She NEVER fail to amuse me with the crazy little thing she does. LIKE, when she sees me on my laptop and she will start pointing at the webcam. Yes. She, just like my younger sister, likes to camwhore!

LOL.

I could go on but my brain is lagging as I type this. Haha.

Today

I went up to the airport to fetch my parents, sister and Athena. As predicted, Zaimi arrived there 3o minutes before they arrived! I went to Burger King to get my sister's Mozzarella Sticks then went to the arrival hall to wait again. I stood under the TV until the flight from Kuching landed.

Then I saw this man walking towards the conveyer belt and in my mind, "Is that Kipli?" And I looked hard and saw a familiar PINK Trunkie. ATHENA'S TRUNKIE!

I waited until I saw a woman carrying this heavily haired baby. ATHENA! Then I saw Nuril and I put my arms out to wave at them. Then they walked towards to where I was at. Athena was in between Nuril and my Dad and I stood in the middle of the door and I heard my Dad said, "There your Ibu Jaja."

Athena saw me, let go of my sister's and Dad's hand and ran towards me with her arms wide open! I just had to carry her.

Anyway, I will blog later. Kinda distracted by YouTube and Facebook.

Facebookers VS Puteri Athena Maimunah

Everyday, there is someone (either OLDER than me or younger than me) venting their anger on someone via Facebook status. PEOPLE like them are the cause of controversies. They don't realise that they are pouring more kerosene onto their own fire.

About time I rant this out. How ironic. I am currently, not practising what I am preaching but I am just in the mood to voice out a thought!

The sickening part is, they often come to me for advise and when I do give them advise, they IGNORE me completely. In the past, I had my emotions KILL me. I am NOT going to let that happen again! So, when I share my life experience, SOME SMART DUMB ASS ignores me completely and then do the worse. They vent more and more on their Facebook statuses. If you are NOT happy with a certain someone, just shut the fuck up and then just delete that person off your Facebook instead of PROVOKING more anger..

There is this one girl, my God. She thinks she is so strong. All talk. All brag. She even TAGGED the person she got angry with on her status. HELLO? HOW WOULD YOU FEEL WHEN SOMEONE HUMILIATE YOU THE WAY YOU HUMILIATE THEM? I commented on her status and even wrote on her wall saying, "Just ignore that girl. Or, just delete her off your Facebook. Silence does not mean defeat." but NO.... she DELETES my comments. Are you just as lowly as that girl? She keep on making statements about that girl calling the other girl a bitch and so forth. Your actions make your look like a bitch as well. You think you are perfect. And it even went to the extend on sharing links of the other girl's picture with spiteful comments. To think the girl I tried to advise is just as cheap. (SORRY TO SAY)

How do I compare people like this girl to my niece, Athena? Well, Athena, you tell her what to do, she will do. Athena is ONLY 17 months old and she is more obedient compared to a 20 year old! Jee. It does irk me. It annoys me.

When they suddenly realise that they started a controversy, they INSIST that they won't apologise and then just disappear out of Facebook JUST LIKE Hani Tarmizi, Lynette Lincoln and Joanna Anne. They lack ONE thing my 17 months old niece have. RESPECT for other people! Come on! Even Athena knows when to salam and ask for forgiveness when she knows she did wrong!

Even when you are angry and you only have your Facebook to vent it out, you don't go to the extremes of TAGGING the person's name on your status and start RANTING ABOUT them or AT them! Just use metaphors... or if you are straight forward, just say you are annoyed or upset WITHOUT HUMILIATE OTHERS ONLY TO SHOW HOW GREAT YOU ARE!

Even as I blog this I am talking about a certain someone whom I am annoyed with but I did not ONCE mentioned her name. Jee. If you know I am blogging about you, I am comparing you to my niece because you can't be told to do what is good and you don't seem to accept any advise from someone who've been far more experienced than you!

I wish the people using Facebook would just grow up... especially those who are ALWAYS angry at the world and always show their problems on Facebook. Even in a Kursus Nikah, you are taught that what is personal SHOULD NOT be shared with other people and here is this person SHARING HER PROBLEMS to more than 200 people on her network!

Jee. If you were my sister, I think you'd get a good slap across your face and thank your lucky stars, I am not. And I thank God you are NOT my sister, if not, I'd be ashamed to have such a disrespectful sister like you. I am also glad Nuril is more mature than you considering Nuril is only 17 years old! Jee!

PS: Athena is the Greek goddess of War and Wisdom but my niece, Athena has more warfare-ness within her than wisdom but her wisdom is pretty much spontaneous.

I cannot wait for FRIDAY MORNING to see the look on her face. "Eh, Ibu Jaja came home? When?" Just like the look she ALWAYS give Syuk when Syuk suddenly appear in the morning! :)

Yes. That is Athena alright. Despite her name being Athena she does act Goddess-like at times. Her wisdom? -_-" Don't bother asking. Her wisdom is like her warfare.

I still cannot believe that from this:-

A premature baby who was born a month earlier from her actual date.

And she - not technically - blogs. Yes. My niece has her own blog. The Odd Duckie.

But whatever it is, I absolutely adore her. No matter how BAD my mood is, she ALWAYS make me smile again. It is so hard to stay angry at her.

I webcam with her every time I can and I thank God she still recognise me although I am not at home there to play with her. She knows to contact me, she will have to use the phone to contact me. Yet, it made me sad - and it still does - when the first day I went off to KL, she sat at the stairs like she ALWAYS does and called, "Ja... Ja..."

Though SOME people did make a controversy over her name, but at least Athena is smart and normal and... bubbly. Mainly because, the surrounding around her. Athena is very lucky. She is spoilt by her Mak Wen, her Grandpa and her Grandma. Not only that, she is very lucky because she feels the warmth of our family's love EVERYDAY... 24 hours, too.

Honestly, Athena is the one thing that truly brighten our house after 15 years.. I am not saying that our household isn't warm. It is, but with Athena's existence, the house is always upside down and noisy..

I miss hearing Athena knocking at my room door everyday especially weekends. I miss hearing her calling for me from downstairs. And, I miss sharing my Maggi Mee with her and ending up eating half and she finish half of my portion. I miss all that. I cannot wait to go home. I am almost afraid to see her reaction. I just hope webcam had made a miracle for her to not forget how I look like outside the laptop.

Don't get me wrong, I am not being bias about other babies but I cannot help it if I am just obsessed with my own niece! xD

Believe it or not, this princess is 1 years old and 4 months. She can literally run and shouts at random people.

If you think she looks harmless, even with that look on her face, think again. Try offering to babysit her for one day. You will see all the naughtiness. She may look like she has a halo over her head, look closely, she actually has a pair of horns.

Hence, don't judge a book by its cover.

As naughty as she is, she is very lovable.
