I hope he is having a good time in London. Thank God they arrived safely. Can't wait for my parents to come back on the 10th so I can go home to Mont Kiara and then go home to Kuching the very next day! :D

That is the ONLY tongue twister that I've managed to master. A little. Haha!

Nicholas Cage

I actually like to watch Nicholas Cage acting! He is sooooo cool. I absolutely love seeing him acting in National Treasure. He is like Indiana Jones except he is geekier and fuck-the-rules-er. Haha. Benjamin Gates is cool that way compared to Indiana Jones.

I think, the first Nicholas Cage movie I've ever seen and liked him was Face/Off. It was a sick movie though but I enjoyed it.

I will blog more later when I have more ideas. I am currently at Mont Kiara with my parents. They will be leaving for London tomorrow at 8 am... hence, me going back to my lonely apartment in Petaling Jaya :(

So sorry for the silence. I went Chinese movies crazy again!

I was watching Bodyguards and Assassins yesterday and I absolutely LOVE the movie! CLICK HERE to check out more information about the movie.

I decided to watch the movie just because it was Donnie Yen, Tony Leung, Nicholas Tse, Simon Yam and Leon Lai acting. While watching the movie, it wasn't because of the actors I liked the movie so much, it is the THEME. It is rather political but I love the HISTORICAL value of the movie.

And how the revolutionaries stood up to protect Dr. Sun Yat-Sen (who is by the way a real person).

I highly recommend people who loves history to watch that movie..

Starbucks, How I Love Thee~

It is official. I am a Starbucks lover now. I love the teas they offer. The Iced Shaken Lemon Tea and the Tazo Passion Tea is awesomee!

I am a simple person. Anyone who disrespect my heritage. That will be the end of him/her. Sometimes, honestly, I am so ashamed to admit that I am Malay because they are often the ones who cannot respect other religions or races. Not all of them are bad but those fanatics.

My Obsession :P

Yes. That is Athena alright. Despite her name being Athena she does act Goddess-like at times. Her wisdom? -_-" Don't bother asking. Her wisdom is like her warfare.

I still cannot believe that from this:-

A premature baby who was born a month earlier from her actual date.

And she - not technically - blogs. Yes. My niece has her own blog. The Odd Duckie.

But whatever it is, I absolutely adore her. No matter how BAD my mood is, she ALWAYS make me smile again. It is so hard to stay angry at her.

I webcam with her every time I can and I thank God she still recognise me although I am not at home there to play with her. She knows to contact me, she will have to use the phone to contact me. Yet, it made me sad - and it still does - when the first day I went off to KL, she sat at the stairs like she ALWAYS does and called, "Ja... Ja..."

Though SOME people did make a controversy over her name, but at least Athena is smart and normal and... bubbly. Mainly because, the surrounding around her. Athena is very lucky. She is spoilt by her Mak Wen, her Grandpa and her Grandma. Not only that, she is very lucky because she feels the warmth of our family's love EVERYDAY... 24 hours, too.

Honestly, Athena is the one thing that truly brighten our house after 15 years.. I am not saying that our household isn't warm. It is, but with Athena's existence, the house is always upside down and noisy..

I miss hearing Athena knocking at my room door everyday especially weekends. I miss hearing her calling for me from downstairs. And, I miss sharing my Maggi Mee with her and ending up eating half and she finish half of my portion. I miss all that. I cannot wait to go home. I am almost afraid to see her reaction. I just hope webcam had made a miracle for her to not forget how I look like outside the laptop.

Don't get me wrong, I am not being bias about other babies but I cannot help it if I am just obsessed with my own niece! xD

The Jajersz (me) and Chinese Movies

I can't deny this. I absolutely LOVE Chinese movies! I don't get it why some people doesn't like the fact that I love Chinese movies! Racist-much!

I often have SOME people asking me, "Why do you not like Malay movies?" My answer? Simple. Malay movies are often too soapy for me. EXCEPT Yasmin Ahmad's movies. Now HER MOVIES are good. They are so multi-racially connected.

However, I was watching this show on TV1 last night when I was at my parent's house at Mont Kiara. It was SO RACIST, I felt like throwing something at the TV when this Malay guy confronted this Chinese girl saying things like, "Why do you live with that lady? Do you know her culture as a Malay? Do you know how we Malays are like?" I was like, WHAT THE HELL? The girl, however, said she had been staying in that village for quite sometime and she was used to the culture but the guy insisted she leave.

Oh. My. GOD! What the hell was the writers thinking when they came up with that script?? I wish I could drag those writers to Muara Tebas back home! Muara Tebas is generally a Chinese area where they have that beautiful huge temple overlooking the sea. And they live alongside with the Malays. Or Buntal! Oh, my God, the Chinese at Buntal speaks BETTER Malay than me for crying out loud! Why do racist exist? Things like these ALWAYS make me angry.

Why?

My Mum was a Chinese Anglican before she met my Dad. She was brought up by my Eurasian Grandmother like a Malay mother raises her children minus the narrow-mindedness. So, I was brought up in a multi-racial family environment. To me, all races are the same. We are all human after all! Hence, me getting angry at RACIST STATEMENTS. Now, they took out Hang Tuah from the history books JUST BECAUSE HE WAS RUMORED TO BE CHINESE?

I am not going to go too deep into such issues.

About CHinese movies.. I love CHinese movies because of the sword fighting and the plot of the movie. I had always loved Chinese movies since I was young - many thanks to my Dad - yes, my Dad is also a Chinese movie fan :D I remember, the very first Chinese movie I ABSOLUTELY love was The Swordsman, Brigitte Lin took the role of Asia the Invincible. She is SOOO awesome in that movie. Actually, Asia is a man who cut off his 'thing' to gain some powers. Eventually the HE turned into a SHE. The awesome part of this movie is the song.

This is the TRANSLATION... The title of the song is, "Hero of Heroes" (aka "A Laugh at the World" or "A Single Laughter in the Sea")

Out Of Randomness - I Can't Help It

Today. Was super fun! Yes, I was feeling tired when I first walked into the class. We had Mass Communication today. And we saw a very clever ad by DUREX.

I thought it is clever. Some people would understand what it means. I thought it was being quite sarcastic but that is the purpose of advertising. You have to compete with other brands.

I JUST GOT A CRANK CALL FROM ATHENA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, that was random. And I just kidding. It is just a way for my Mum to check on me. Haha.. but then, I am supposed to Skype with Athena. I am obsessedly in love with my niece. Haha! Seriously.

Anyway, I loved today's class. It was funny. The lecturer is very funny. Compared to SOME other college *snarls at SEGi*, I actually ENJOY myself at IACT. Will try to blog about it later. Right now. I am so brain dead, it is not funny.

The Difference

I am going to make myself sound so damn bias! There were many reasons why I hated SEGi University College Kuching, Sarawak (hence, S.U.C.K.S - and they do!). The people working at that whole damn institute isn't very friendly - even with the students. They tend to pick and choose the people they like and they - as I noticed, don't really like communicating with the non-Chinese. Hello, I am half-Chinese, what makes me? I am human, too. Why discriminate? Even the students. If you are NOT stylo enough, they won't even LOOK at you!

I am currently at IACT, Petaling Jaya in Kuala Lumpur and I absolutely love the people here. They look like they enjoy their jobs. Well, considering the people are so used to communicating everyday with people. When I went into the Gallery today, I saw Fei and Louise at their tables and Fei was playing Kuch Kuch Hota Hai by Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol and Louise hit Fei on the shoulder and said, "Can you please play another song?" And Fei - being playful - said, "No." Then he switched to Doraemon's theme song!

It was so cute. I am running out of ideas about this blog entry, I should get going soon to the lecture room.

No Use For A Title

I am currently sitting at the KLIA arrival hall waiting for my Dad to arrive from Kuching. Feeling somewhat happy because I can sleep in my COLD room in Mont Kiara rather than sleeping in my HOT room in Petaling Jaya. Hahaha!

I am such a spoilt brat! Hahahahaahahahaah! Oh God. I am feeling so... nasty! Hahahahaha!

I have to go now. My Dad will be arriving soon.

FYI- I am using KLIA's wifi. Haha. Putting it to good use :)

Believe it or not, this princess is 1 years old and 4 months. She can literally run and shouts at random people.

If you think she looks harmless, even with that look on her face, think again. Try offering to babysit her for one day. You will see all the naughtiness. She may look like she has a halo over her head, look closely, she actually has a pair of horns.

Hence, don't judge a book by its cover.

As naughty as she is, she is very lovable.

Guilty Pleasure

Have anyone had a guilty pleasure? I indeed do have a guilty pleasure and it is Boyzone. I am not embarrass to admit I absolutely LOVEEEE Boyzone. Even after, what, 11 years?

Guess who I liked most in the band? Believe it or not, I was in love with Stephen Gately (yes, people, the gay one) Even when he admitted he was gay, though devastated, I still liked him. He was talented. I dreamt to meet him IF I ever get to London or Dublin. Unfortunately, he died. That made me sad.

Quite honestly, Boyzone is the SWEETEST band I've ever liked because they treated each other like brothers. The latest video made me cry EVERYTIME I watched it. It has a very emotional touch to it. I just had to put the video link here: Gave It All Away (Boyzone)

One must wonder, why despite my favorite band member being gay, why didn't I just ditch the band and moved on. There is a sentimental reason to it.

If wasn't for Boyzone (or rather, my obsession for Boyzone), I wouldn't have the two of the bestest friends in the world! Serena and Juliana... during that era, swapping posters was the in thing and with our heads filled with fantasies with our favorite bands back then.

I remember when I was their biggest fan, I knew everything about them. If possible, I bought their official magazines (yes, Boyzone, did have their official magazine).

I will blog more about Boyzone when I am less brain dead.

Truth and Lies

There is a reason why I ended up blogging about myself. I was thinking about it when I was on a friend's Facebook profile and I read that she claimed to be a super friendly person but in reality, she isn't all that friendly. She is only friendly to those of HER KIND.

Well, let me begin. It is entirely up to you to determine which is the truth and which are lies.

I am a girl who originates from Kuching but I am currently staying at Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur. I have been breathing the air for 26 years but I tend to get compliments saying I look 18. Generally, I am a very sociable person. I can get along with anybody and I forgive and forget the stupidity made by my friends and certain family members. I have a MySpace account and Twitter account. Not to mention YouTube and Facebook, too. I enjoy listening to music. Any kind of music. I am a universal listener. Some of my favorite artists are Beyonce and Rihanna. Another well know fact about me is, I was born on the year of the Rat but I absolutely love cats. I have a passion for poetry and photography. Sometimes, I even put words into my photography. I also enjoy traveling. Most importantly, you may not know it but I am OBSESSED with my niece, Athena.

Stone Tooth and Wrathy Clouds

In case you were wondering why I put that as a title. Here is the story.

I was having my lunch today at a very nearby place. Just across from my apartment. I had something I absolutely love, Cantonese noodles. So, happy as I was sitting down there, though alone, eating my noodles with chicken and prawns, I was chewing until I felt like I bit onto something really hard.. Before that, I was biting the tail of the prawn to get the flesh out and that was when I bit onto something really hard. So, I took out the hard thing that I bit. I was shocked to see a small stone! To think that I was biting into my prawn when it happened. Then I looked at the prawn tail. How could there be a stone within the tail. So, I ignored it then felt a HUGE hole at the back of my tooth! Not that it is painful but it is such a bother to have a huge hole at the back of your mouth!

Enough about the mouth. I am afraid, I might gross some people out. Hehe. Sorry ya! :D

Heavy clouds have been hovering over Kuala Lumpur since I came. The worse storm was yesterday! I noticed, in the morning until evening, it will be UNFORGIVABLY hot only to give way to the thunderstorm in the evening. That is like the best time to sleep. As it is, I am sleepy already. Haha. I think I better get a shut eye before the storm roll in.

I seriously don't feel like going out. I am feeling so lazy it is not funny. I've been rather brain dead lately. I don't have the mood to blog or do anything except laze around. The best part, I don't get hungry that easily anymore. Haha!

Except now, I am a little hungry but I have a tummyache at the same time too. Honestly, I don't know what to do with myself. I feel like walking to Wendy's to get ice cream. Hey, it reminds me of Sunny Hill ice cream back home.

I have a list of things I feel like eating... One is Wendy's Frosty which I can get from across Jalan Universiti :( Which is almost a 20 minute walk and a bucket full of sweat! :( The other is A&W root beer which is RM5 away from my place plus 15 minutes walk to the main road. I could always call McDonald's for delivery but I have this weird habit of eating the chicken nuggets with rice!

I honestly, can't wait to get home to Kuching. Good food is guaranteed.

Someone To Talk About

Note that I said SOMEONE not SOMETHING to talk about.

There was an outburst on Facebook lately about a Hani Tarmizi. She is more popular than any of the Akademi Fantasia students. There is a catch. She had got a WHOLE STATE cursing at and hating her. What state is that? My homeland. Sarawak, East Malaysia, Borneo.

How did she become so famous with the Sarawakians' hatred towards her? Just because of ONE Sarawakian disturbing her husband, she label MOST Sarawakian girls as sluts and bitches. That is her mistake. I would think, her husband has something to do with it. And of course, I blame the Sarawakian girl, too. I am NOT going to support that Sarawakian girl but I am supporting the fact that Hani has NO RIGHTS to label MOST Sarawakian girls as sluts and bitches because of ONE person... She has NO RIGHTS to judge a WHOLE STATE because of ONE person. Yet, somehow, I pity Hani for receiving all those curses from the biggest state in the country.

I am from Sarawak and though I hate husband stealers that doesn't mean I go around condemning a particular state as a whole. Hani had proved herself to be a RACIST AND A STATE-IST. If you are angry that someone is trying to steal your husband, you don't judge her as a Sarawakian but as an individual. AS JUST ONE PERSON. No matter what her race or religion or where she originates from.

But, considering our beloved Prime Minister is trying to get us to stand united to be 1Malaysia. I think, and I am so sorry to say, it is only wishful thinking if STATE-IST like Hani exist. I love the idea of 1Malaysia but so sorry to say this and I am being honest, as far as I am concerned, Sabah and Sarawak are demonstrating real 1Malaysia-ness.

The Sarawakians are standing united to fight against Hani's mindless statement. It is good to see no matter what their races, religions and origins are, they are standing together to sign a petition to get Hani to apologise to ALL SARAWAKIANS for her inconsiderate statement.

Also, this is vital, DO NOT INVOLVE YOUR PERSONAL LIFE INTO FACEBOOK... It might end up being a controversy. And if you were getting a divorce, you announce it on Facebook to let the whole world know that you are going to be single and available soon? Wow. Talking about self-promoting. It is logical that whatever problems you face in a relationship (whether it is your marriage or your engagement or with your boyfriend/girlfriend) YOU DO NOT GO AROUND TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT IT NO MATTER HOW ANGRY OR UPSET YOU ARE WITH THE SITUATION. That is what you call it a personal problem. Let the personal problem remain personal. Don't shout it out to the world. You are not the only one in Cyberspace. The whole world is. Thus, the world is getting smaller these days.

I hope in the future, people (I am not pointing to ANYONE from any state in particular) won't repeat the same mistake as Hani. Her spiteful words ended up controversial and she ended up popular. In a bad way.

Like how we Sarawakians say it, "Femes dengan sumpah seranah jak." *giggles*

New Year. New Beginning.

I start this year. Awesome. I dropped out from SEGi University College Kuching Sarawak (SUCKS) only to find myself in IACT College KL to take up Mass Communication.

For the past 3 days, I've been attending this Ad-Venture Workshop and I enjoyed myself. Last night, I moved into the student house. Happy Apartment but it looked gloomy. Haha. It was okay. And, I LOVED my room! Seriously, I loved my room!

All I need now is BROADBAND! :p I need to webcam with Athena!

I am totally running out of ideas on what to blog about now. I am feeling quite tired and sleepy but I can't go back to my room because honestly, I have NO idea how to get to Happy Apartment at this rate! HAHAHA!
