It has been a few months since I declared myself single after being in a relationship for 3 years. But, 1 and a half years out of that 3 years was abusive. I am glad I managed to break free. The only reason why I managed to hang on was because he planted false hope within me and I was being optimistic.
Now. As a new chapter opens, I realised one thing. I am happier with my life. I can do anything with myself. I can go out without feeling too much guilt. It was because of him I was willing to ditch my friends. Sometimes, my family. Pathetic, huh?
