i never thought that it was you who would hold out your hands for me,
i never expected that it would be you who would rescue me,
i did not realise that you were protecting me,
i have always thought that you won't hold me tightly the way you did,
i never felt so much joy when you are near,
i never found so much happiness,
people think i am happier now,
people see me and wonder about me,
they realised that i am much happier than i used to be,
maybe,
you made me the way i am now,
i don't have to hide my tears,
i don't have to hide my fears because you are near,
i thought a person like you was only a dream never coming true,
but,
thank God it was you,
who held my hands through the dark,
it was you who held me in your arms to sleep at night,
and it was your love that brought me through the stormiest weather...
i thank God that it WAS you!
